Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, located approximately 50 kilometers from Arusha town, you will be warmly welcomed by a professional guide from Martial Eagle Adventures. The drive to Arusha takes approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic conditions.

Arusha sits at an altitude of about 1,400 meters above sea level and is surrounded by lush landscapes and views of Mount Meru. After check in at your lodge, you can relax and recover from your international flight. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the local markets, visit the Cultural Heritage Centre, or simply enjoy the serene environment of your accommodation.

Day 2
Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, located approximately 120 kilometers southwest of Arusha with a drive time of about 2 to 3 hours.

Tarangire covers approximately 2,850 square kilometers and is famous for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The Tarangire River serves as the primary water source during the dry season, attracting large concentrations of wildlife including lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and over 500 bird species.

You will enjoy a full day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park. The landscape varies from open savannah to riverine forests, offering excellent wildlife photography opportunities.

Day 3
Lake Manyara and Mto wa Mbu Cultural Tour

Today you travel approximately 110 kilometers from Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park, a journey of around 2 hours.

Lake Manyara covers approximately 330 square kilometers, with two thirds of the park covered by the alkaline lake. The park is famous for its tree climbing lions, large troops of baboons, hippos, flamingos, and diverse birdlife.

In the afternoon, you will visit Mto wa Mbu village, one of the most culturally diverse communities in Tanzania. Here you will experience local farming activities, banana plantations, traditional food tasting, and interaction with local artisans.

Day 4
Lake Eyasi and Hadzabe Tribe

After breakfast, drive approximately 75 kilometers from Manyara to Lake Eyasi, a journey of about 1.5 hours.

Lake Eyasi lies at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and is home to the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter gatherer communities in East Africa. You will have a rare opportunity to join the Hadzabe on a traditional hunting experience and learn about their ancient survival skills.

You will also visit the Datoga tribe, known for their traditional blacksmithing techniques.

Drive to Central Serengeti (Seronera Area)

Today you begin your journey to the legendary Serengeti National Park, driving approximately 250 kilometers, a scenic journey of about 6 to 7 hours including wildlife viewing en route.

Serengeti spans over 14,750 square kilometers and is home to the largest concentration of wildlife in Africa. The Central Serengeti, also known as the Seronera region, offers year round wildlife viewing with high chances of spotting lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and vast herds of herbivores.

Drive to Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, drive north toward the Northern Serengeti, a journey of approximately 250 to 300 kilometers taking around 6 to 7 hours. The area is especially famous for the Great Migration during certain months, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras move through the region. Afternoon game viewing allows you to explore river systems and open grasslands that attract both resident and migratory wildlife.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, covering 260 square kilometers with walls rising 600 meters high. It hosts over 25,000 animals, including the endangered black rhino.

Descend into the crater for a 5 to 6 hour game drive.
