Day 1 Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and Transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, located approximately 50 kilometers from Arusha town, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Martial Eagle Adventures. The transfer to Arusha takes about 1 hour by road, passing through small local villages, coffee farms, and views of Mount Meru if the weather is clear.

Arusha sits at an altitude of approximately 1,400 meters above sea level and serves as the gateway to Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at your lodge, enjoy the gardens, and recover from your international flight.

After breakfast, you will depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, located approximately 120 kilometers southwest of Arusha, with a driving time of about 2 to 3 hours on a scenic route through Maasai plains and rural villages.

Tarangire National Park covers approximately 2,850 square kilometers and is famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. The Tarangire River, which flows through the park, becomes a vital water source during the dry season, attracting thousands of animals.
